Tasmania Together has been measuring progress over the past ten years, collecting data from reliable sources to give a balanced assessment of social, economic and environmental conditions within the State.
By tracking performance, Tasmania Together reporting can help to provide an understanding of quality of life in the areas covered and inform policy development, planning and community action to achieve progress in these areas.
Issues of particular need and/or concern can be targeted based on reliable measures and not just ideology or anecdotal evidence.
In this way, Tasmania Together aims to support positive change in the State by providing information about the state we are in.
The 2009 Snapshot of Progress summarises progress on Headline Indicators from each of the 12 Tasmania Together goals, utilising the latest available data at 31 December 2009. The Detailed Report - Headline Indicators provides detail on the 12 Headline Indicators.
